Our story began over three decades ago in London which was becoming an increasingly more diverse, multi-cultural city of many nationalities. During that time in our family owned supermarket which till now is located in the heart of London, we had witnessed many disappointed customers who struggled to find the right selection of herbs and spice blends that were essential for cooking their own native dishes. There were also many new restaurants opening in quick succession and foreign cuisine became very popular across the entire country, increasing the demand for such products among the British public.
This is when we recognized there was a shortage of good quality herbs, spices and international blends in the market. Seizing the opportunity, we began by sourcing and specialising in packing niche middle-eastern products such as Dried Lime, Sumac, Za’atar, Ras El Hanout, Hibiscus and many others. Our aim was to offer unique products of the highest quality at very reasonable prices. Being encouraged by the response of the public, we introduced an even wider selection of new herbs and blends from a variety of countries. Our business has grown over the years as consumers were able to distinguish the difference in quality and authenticity of our products.
Greenfields now enters its second generation in the family and the same philosophy continues. Inheriting our three principles of uncompromised quality, true authenticity and fair pricing, the journey continues.
We are proud that Greenfields products are now stocked by leading supermarket chains, five-star hotels and restaurants, cash and carry’s, wholesalers, distributors and independent stores throughout the UK and Ireland. We currently export to Europe, the Far East, the Middle East and to parts of Asia known by the land of spices. Our commitment is to maintain the quality and value of our core range whilst continuously introducing new, exciting and innovative products developed by our very experienced team.

This overwhelming support has boosted our successful journey from packing our first bag by hand in the basement of our supermarket to being packed by fully automated machines and presented the way they are today.
