Spiced halloween punch

A delicious pomegranate and hibiscus rum punch, perfect for a halloween party

Ingredients

  • hibiscus flowers
  • 1 small cinnamon stick, smashed
  • 1 c. pomegranate juice
  • 1 c. spiced rum
  • 1/2 c.  blood orange juice
  • 1 (750ml) bottle prosecco (or other sparkling wine), chilled
  • small apples for carving and serving

Method

  1. Place a handful of hibiscus leaves and cinnamon stick in a large measuring cup. Top with 1 cup boiling water; let steep 5 minutes. Strain and cool to room temperature.
  2. Combine tea, pomegranate juice, rum, and orange juice in a pitcher.
  3. Stir in Prosecco.
  4. Serve over ice with a cinnamon stick (optional – if you have one spare)
  5. Peel and carve the apples with your most artistic ideas
