Whole pimento

around the world

Whole pimento hails from Jamaica, where it has been celebrated for centuries as one of the island’s most prized spices. Revered in folklore as a warming and protective berry, it’s found in everything from jerk marinades to rum punches. Locals take pride in how pimento defines the unmistakable taste of authentic Caribbean cuisine. Jamaica remains the world’s leading producer, exporting its sun-dried, glossy brown berries across the globe – a little taste of the island’s history and heart in every pack.

The Spice That Thinks It’s Three-in-One!

Whole pimento – the true Caribbean treasure!

Known as ‘allspice’ because it tastes like cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves all rolled into one, this little berry is a game changer. Drop a few into your stews, curries, or pickling jars and watch the magic unfold. Toast them lightly in a dry pan to unleash a smoky, rounded aroma that’ll transform your jerk chicken or rice dishes. And here’s a tip – grind just before use for the freshest, most vibrant punch of flavour. Honestly, keep a jar on hand and you’ll wonder how you ever cooked without it.
