When the nights draw in and the air turns crisp, there’s nothing better than the comforting scent of cinnamon wafting through your kitchen. But for Halloween, we’ve given the classic cinnamon bun a spine-tingling twist — meet the Sin-ammon Swirl Buns! Deeply aromatic with Greenfields Ground Cinnamon and Ground Cloves, and finished with a blood-red orange glaze, they’re sweet, spooky and wickedly moreish. Perfect for a Halloween party or a cosy autumn evening treat.

For the dough:
500g strong white bread flour
7g fast-action yeast
1 tsp Greenfields Himalayan Pink Salt (Fine)
250ml warm milk (plant-based works fine)
75g unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg (or egg substitute for sensitivity)
50g caster sugar
For the filling:
60g softened butter
100g soft brown sugar
2 tbsp Greenfields Ground Cinnamon
¼ tsp Greenfields Ground Cloves
For the blood orange glaze:
Juice of 1 blood orange (or red food colouring with orange juice)
150g icing sugar
¼ tsp Greenfields Ground Cinnamon
In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, warm milk, melted butter, egg (or substitute) and sugar. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead on a lightly floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and leave to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Line a baking tray with parchment.
Roll the risen dough into a rectangle (about 40cm x 25cm).
Spread the butter evenly, then sprinkle the brown sugar, Ground Cinnamon and Ground Cloves over the surface.
Roll tightly from the long edge into a log and slice into 12 rounds.
Arrange the buns in the tray, leaving space between each one. Cover and let rise again for 15 minutes.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden and puffed.
For the glaze, whisk together the blood orange juice, icing sugar, and a touch of Ground Cinnamon.
Drizzle the vivid glaze over the warm buns, letting it drip like eerie blood trails. Serve warm and watch them vanish!
Recipe tips:
For extra Halloween flair, pipe a thin line of melted dark chocolate to create spiderweb designs across the glaze once it sets slightly.

What shipping methods are available and how much?
We use Royal Mail second class postal service for all orders. Shipping is free when you order is £30 or more or have 10 or more items in your basket, a standard £4.99 charge will be applied for any cart containing less than £30 worth of products or less than 10 products.
