Tangy Lime Chicken Tacos

  • 500g boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons lime powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green pepper, thinly sliced
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • Lime wedges, for garnish
  • Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the lime powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a spice rub.
  2. Place the chicken strips in the bowl and coat them evenly with the spice rub. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavours to meld.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken strips and cook for about 8-10 minutes or until cooked through, stirring occasionally. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the sliced onion and peppers. Sauté them for 5-6 minutes until they are tender-crisp and slightly caramelised.
  5. Return the cooked chicken to the pan with the sautéed vegetables and toss them together for an additional 2 minutes to allow the flavours to combine.
  6. Warm the flour tortillas in a dry pan over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable and lightly toasted.
  7. To assemble the tacos, spoon the chicken and vegetable mixture onto each warm tortilla. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and a squeeze of lime juice.
  8. Serve the Tangy Lime Powder Chicken Tacos immediately, allowing everyone to add their favourite toppings such as salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.

We use Royal Mail second class postal service for all orders. Shipping is free when you order is £30 or more or have 10 or more items in your basket, a standard £4.99 charge will be applied for any cart containing less than £30 worth of products or less than 10 products.
