Smoky Chipotle Loaded Summer Fries

Inspired by vibrant street food and colourful summer festivals, these Smoky Chipotle Loaded Summer Fries transform humble crinkle-cut chips into an unforgettable sharing platter. The combination of creamy whipped feta, crispy roasted chickpeas, smoky spices and a silky chipotle yoghurt drizzle creates a dish that’s perfect for garden parties, BBQs, movie nights or simply enjoying outdoors with friends. 750g frozen crinkle-cut fries

1 x 400g tin chickpeas, drained

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp Greenfields Smoked Paprika

½ tsp Greenfields Smoked Chipotle

½ tsp Greenfields Garlic Powder

½ tsp Greenfields Onion Powder

½ tsp Greenfields Ground Cumin

¼ tsp Greenfields Cracked Black Pepper

1 tsp Greenfields Sea Salt

150g feta

100g Greek yoghurt

1 tbsp lemon juice

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tsp Greenfields Smoked Chipotle

1 tsp Greenfields Aleppo Chilli

2 tbsp water (if needed)

3 tbsp Greenfields Crispy Fried Onions

2 spring onions, finely sliced

Fresh parsley, chopped

Extra Greenfields Smoked Paprika for garnish

  • Heat the oven according to the fries’ packet instructions and cook until deeply golden and extra crispy.
  • Toss the chickpeas with olive oil, Greenfields Smoked Paprika, Smoked Chipotle, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Ground Cumin, Sea Salt and Black Pepper. Roast beside the fries for 20–25 minutes until crisp.
  • Blend the feta, Greek yoghurt and lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
  • Mix together the mayonnaise, yoghurt, Greenfields Smoked Chipotle and Aleppo Chilli. Add a little water until the sauce is thick enough to drizzle.
  • Arrange the hot fries on a large sharing platter.
  • Spoon over generous dollops of whipped feta.
  • Scatter over the smoky roasted chickpeas.
  • Finish with the chipotle drizzle, crispy fried onions, spring onions, parsley and an extra dusting of Greenfields Smoked Paprika.
  • Serve immediately while everything is hot, crispy and wonderfully messy.
Roast the chickpeas until really crisp—they add an incredible crunch. Swap feta for grilled halloumi for an even heartier version. Add grilled sweetcorn for extra summer sweetness. A squeeze of fresh lime just before serving brightens all the smoky flavours. This makes an excellent BBQ side alongside grilled chicken or lamb.
