Greek Forest Honey

From Oak & Chestnut Trees

Typically described as:
A rich, golden treasure from the Greek mountains, this Greek Forest Honey is a premium nectar gathered from the wild pines and oaks that blanket the country’s pristine landscapes. With a smooth, velvety texture and a depth of flavour that is both earthy and slightly herbal, it brings a true taste of the Greek countryside to your table.
  1. Greek honey is renowned worldwide for its exceptional quality. Thanks to the country’s unique biodiversity, abundant sunshine, and unspoilt environment, bees in Greece forage on a vast variety of wild herbs and forest flora. This results in honey that is naturally more aromatic, nutrient-rich, and full-bodied compared to many other varieties. Greek honey is also prized for its higher levels of antioxidants and trace minerals, making it as nourishing as it is delicious. Our new squeezy bottle design makes this honey even more convenient to enjoy. No more sticky spoons or drips on the table – the bottle allows for precise pouring, whether drizzling over yoghurt, stirring into tea, or sweetening a recipe. It’s ideal for everyday use while keeping your honey fresh and easy to store. Here are ten modern ways to enjoy Greek Forest Honey:
    1. Drizzle over thick Greek yoghurt with walnuts for a traditional breakfast.
    2. Use as a natural sweetener in herbal teas or green tea.
    3. Glaze roasted vegetables such as carrots, parsnips, or aubergines.
    4. Mix into salad dressings with olive oil and mustard for a tangy-sweet balance.
    5. Add to marinades for chicken or pork for a caramelised finish.
    6. Pair with artisan cheeses like feta or halloumi.
    7. Swirl into porridge or overnight oats for natural sweetness.
    8. Drizzle over pancakes or waffles as a refined alternative to syrup.
    9. Stir into smoothies for a nutrient boost.
    10. Use in baking to keep cakes and biscuits moist and fragrant.
Extra tip: Store your honey at room temperature – refrigeration isn’t needed and may cause crystallisation. If it does naturally crystallise, gently warm the bottle in a bowl of hot water to restore its smooth flow.
