Serves 4

  • Preparation Time: 15 minutes
  • Marinating Time: 15 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 50 minutes

Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the beef strips and desired level of doneness. Adjust the cooking time accordingly.

  • 500g beef sirloin or rump steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 large peppers (red, green, yellow or a mix), sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 medium flour tortillas
  • 2-4 tbsp Greenfields fajita seasoning (adjusted to your taste)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Optional Toppings:

  • Sour cream
  • Guacamole
  • Salsa
  • Shredded cheese
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • Lime wedges
  1. Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the pan and sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of the fajita seasoning over the meat. Stir-fry the beef until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Transfer the cooked beef to a plate and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil and heat it up. Add the sliced peppers and onions to the pan and sprinkle another tablespoon of the fajita seasoning over them. Stir-fry the vegetables until they are slightly softened and have a nice char, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Return the cooked beef to the pan with the vegetables and toss everything together. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavours to meld.
  5. Warm the flour tortillas according to the package instructions or heat them on a dry pan for a few seconds on each side.
  6. Serve the beef strip fajitas by placing a generous amount of the beef and vegetable mixture onto each tortilla. Add your favourite toppings such as sour cream, guacamole, salsa, shredded cheese, and chopped cilantro.
  7. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the fajitas for a refreshing tang. Fold the tortillas and enjoy the sizzling beef strip fajitas while they’re still hot!

Customise your fajitas by adding additional ingredients like sliced jalapeños, mushrooms, or any other toppings of your choice.
