Recipe idea Cardamom-Spiced Rice Pudding: Ingredients:
  • 125g rice (basmati or jasmine)
  • 750ml milk
  • 50g sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4-5 green cardamom pods, crushed
  • Chopped nuts and raisins for garnish (optional)
  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the rice, milk, and crushed cardamom pods.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is cooked and the mixture has thickened.
  4. Stir in the sugar and continue cooking for an additional 5-10 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and the pudding has reached your desired consistency.
  5. Remove from heat and let the pudding cool slightly. Remove the cardamom pods.
  6. Serve the rice pudding warm or chilled, garnished with chopped nuts and raisins if desired.
