Homemade Lavender Lemonade

This homemade lavender lemonade combines freshly squeezed lemons with the subtle floral notes of culinary lavender. It’s naturally sweetened with honey or sugar, making it the perfect balance of tart and sweet. Simple to prepare, this recipe is sure to impress your guests while providing a moment of tranquility.

  • Prep time: 20 minutes
  • Cooking time: 5 minutes (for the syrup)
  • Total time: 25 minutes

This recipe makes approximately 6 servings (250 ml each).

  • 500 ml (2 cups) water
  • 250 ml (1 cup) boiling water
  • 2 tbsp culinary-grade dried lavender flowers
  • 4 medium lemons (approx. 250 ml/1 cup freshly squeezed juice)
  • 100 g (½ cup) granulated sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 500 ml (2 cups) cold water or sparkling water (optional for fizz)
  • Ice cubes, to serve
  • Lemon slices and lavender sprigs, for garnish
  1. Prepare the Lavender Syrup:
    • In a heatproof bowl or jug, combine the boiling water and dried lavender flowers.
    • Let the mixture steep for 15 minutes, then strain the liquid through a fine sieve to remove the lavender flowers. Discard the flowers.
  2. Make the Lemonade Base:
    • In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar or honey. Stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Combine the Ingredients:
    • Add the lavender syrup and 500 ml of cold water to the pitcher. Stir well. Adjust sweetness or dilution to taste.
  4. Serve:
    • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour in the lavender lemonade. Garnish with lemon slices and sprigs of lavender.
  5. Optional: For a sparkling version, replace the cold water with sparkling water just before serving.

We use Royal Mail second class postal service for all orders. Shipping is free when you order is £30 or more or have 10 or more items in your basket, a standard £4.99 charge will be applied for any cart containing less than £30 worth of products or less than 10 products.
