Crispy coated Cajun fries

Cajun crunchy extra spicy fries, easy and delicious!

• 1kg Maris piper potatoes, cut into fries
• 128g cornflour
• 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
• Oil for deep frying
• Salt to taste

  1. Place cut potatoes into a large bowl of cold water and soak for 10 minutes.
  2. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the cornflour and Cajun seasoning. Shake the bag to blend. Drain the potatoes, but leave them wet. Place the fries in the plastic bag with the seasoning, and shake to coat.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep-fryer to 190 °C.
  4. Cook fries in hot oil for 7 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the fryer to paper towels to drain.
  5. Season with a small amount of salt.Very simple and satisfying!
