Herb mini pizzas

Introduce basic cooking techniques, the importance of measurements, and the wonderful flavours of dried herbs. Plus, children will love making and eating their own little pizzas!
  • Preparation Time: 15 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 10-12 minutes
  • 4 mini pizza bases (or 4 small flatbreads)
  • 200g passata (tomato sauce)
  • 200g grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • A handful of black olives, sliced
  • Any other topping you have to hand such as ham, mushroom, tomato, red onion, pineapple etc, have fun!
  • A handful of fresh basil leaves
  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 220ยฐC (200ยฐC fan) or Gas Mark 7.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the passata with the dried oregano, basil, and thyme.
  3. Assemble the Pizzas: Place the mini pizza bases on a baking sheet. Spread a spoonful of the herby tomato sauce over each base.
  4. Add Toppings: Sprinkle the grated mozzarella evenly over the pizzas. Add sliced olives on top.
  5. Bake: Drizzle a little olive oil over each pizza. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges of the pizza are golden.
  6. Serve: Let the pizzas cool slightly before serving. Scatter a few basil leaves over the top for decoration
