Hibiscus & Lime Iced Tea

Hibiscus iced tea is hard to beat. It is hydrating, beautiful, and nutritious, the perfect summer beverage.  This lime hibiscus iced tea is the perfect easy summer drink for hot days. Just three ingredients – hibiscus tea, lime, and a little honey.

  • 15g Greenfields hibiscus
  • 1 ltr boiling water
  • Two tablespoons raw honey (try our Shahd raw honey unfiltered)
  • 3 limes – Juice of two limes and one lime sliced (can use lemon as an alternative)
  • ice cubes, and mint leaves for garnish

Instructions: (prep 5 mins, cooling time 1 hour)

  • Add the hibiscus petals to a pitcher and pour the boiling water over the leaves. Let this steep for a few minutes before stirring in the honey until it melts.
  • Let the tea cool before removing the hibiscus to ensure it is strongly flavoured.
  • Once cooled add the lime juice.
  • Refrigerate until very cold, and serve with sliced lime, ice, and mint.

This will keep well in your fridge and even improves after a day or two.
