JalapeƱo Poppers in Bacon

These Bacon wrapped cheese stuffed jalapeƱo poppers are the perfect combination of spicy jalapeƱos, smoky bacon, and creamy cheese. With a kick of red jalapeƱo powder, these poppers take the heat to a whole new level.

This recipe serves 4-6 people.

  • Preparation time: 20 minutes
  • Cooking time: 20-25 minutes
  • Total time: 40-45 minutes
  • 12 fresh jalapeƱo peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 250g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Greenfields jalapeƱo powder
  • 12 slices of bacon
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the jalapeƱos in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes using a spoon. Be cautious while handling jalapeƱos as they can be spicy. If desired, you can wear gloves to protect your hands.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, red jalapeƱo powder, dried oregano, dried thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture into the jalapeƱo halves, filling each one generously.
  5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeƱo with a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
  6. Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeƱos on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Once cooked, remove the jalapeƱo poppers from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the poppers as they are or with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as ranch dressing or salsa.
