Ingredients
2 tablespoons dried rose petals
2 cups boiling water
1-2 teaspoons honey (adjust to taste)
A splash of lemon juice (optional)
Fresh rose petals or a slice of lemon for garnish (optional)
Method
Prepare the Rose Petals:
Start by ensuring your rose petals are clean and free of any debris.
2. Boil the Water:
Heat 2 cups of water until it reaches a rolling boil. You can use a kettle or a saucepan for this step.
3. Infuse the Rose Petals:
Place the dried rose petals in a teapot or heatproof container.
Pour the boiling water over the rose petals.
Cover the teapot or container and let the rose petals steep for about 5-7 minutes. This allows the petals to release their flavour and aroma into the water.
4. Sweeten and Flavour (Optional):
After steeping, you can sweeten your Pink Rose Tea with honey to taste. Start with 1-2 teaspoons and adjust according to your preference.
If desired, add a splash of lemon juice for a touch of brightness and extra depth of flavour.
5. Strain and Serve:
Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the tea into teacups or serving glasses. This step removes any remaining rose petals, ensuring a smooth and fragrant tea.
Garnish with fresh rose petals or a thin slice of lemon for an extra visual and aromatic flourish.
